Craig Vetter today

Like a lot of AHS students, I was a military brat. I began school in Illinois, then Biloxi, then Greenville, Tampa, Illinois again and finally Anchorage. I loved Anchorage. When I graduated, I went to the Air Force Academy to build little flying machines. (with Gary Fisk and Robert Clark) The academy was not for me - that is not where they made little flying machines - so I went to the U of Illinois where I studied Industrial Design.

I designed and made things to make motorcycles better transportation. This led to factories in Rantoul, Illinois and San Luis Obispo, California. In 1977, I married the prettiest girl at my company, Carol Lumkes, from River Forest, IL. The next year, we sold the company and began a family. We have two sons, Zak and Morgan.

The day we were married in 1977 and 2008

Today, Carol and I live in Carmel, CA. I love my wife and sons. I love design. I love motorcycles. We love Jesus Christ.

Riding Into History, a motorcycle charity concours in St. Augustine, Florida, May 15, 2010
We have just learned that our Brit buddy riders cannot ride with us to Anchorage because of the Iceland ash in the air and the BA strike. Reluctantly, we have scrubbed our ride in 2010 and will fly to the reunion instead. Next year, we will try the ride again. We will be staying at the Capt. Cook, checking in Wed. evening June 23. After the Reunion...
I will be at my friend, Don Rosene's Motorcycle Shop the Tuesday. 400 W. Potter, Anchorage. You are all invited.
