We have Judie (Straub) Lessley to thank for the following early images of our classmates.
Miss Paxon's 1st grade class '48-'49 Chugach Quanset, May 16, 1949

Does anyone recognize being in Miss Paxon's 1st grade class that I was in '48-'49? I was absent with illness the day the picture was taken. As I remember, at least the 1st grades of Chugach school met in quanset huts across from the park blocks. Several times during the year, the furnace blew up blowing black soot over everything thus necessitating the closure of school for clean-up.

Kathy Queer says: Craig, I was looking over the photos from the 1st grade class. I think the little blonde in the back with her legs crossed may be me. I compared it to another photo I had of taken a year before. I had very similar bib overhauls on and the same curly blonde hair, same smile .. I'll claim her if no one else does. Oh, I forgot the little girl in the front with the pencil .. I think is Nancy Imlach ... she has on a white dress with some sort of print on it. She is the one behind the first table.

I have many years ago lost my year book but I'm sure my picture is in there under the name of Irgang.

We can thank Pauline Reed for the above pic. Pauline says: "I was in center, two rows in front of Miss N. who was a GREAT teacher.  However, I skipped the 2nd Grade,* (see Pauline in 3rd Grade below) so this would be kids from class of 61, not 60.  Still fun, lots of friends..who do you recognize?

*Pauline was voted "Most Ambitious" 10 years later.
